The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the Catholic Church’s process for welcoming adults who seek to be fully initiated into the faith. Whether you’re unbaptized, coming from another Christian tradition, or a baptized Catholic who has not yet received all the sacraments, OCIA offers a beautiful, transformative journey of encountering Christ and His Church more deeply.
Full communion with the Catholic Church is celebrated through the reception of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Holy Eucharist—most often during the Easter Vigil.
If you’re curious about becoming Catholic or ready to begin this journey, we invite you to connect with Ré Slusher, Director of the Catholic Center, at dezireeslusher@uwgcatholic.org.
